Malvina and Basti. Within only four months they planned their entire boho garden wedding in Berlin. All I can say is: Hats off!
With a very small circle of their closest people they said “yes” to each other at the registry office. The following day they had the incredibly funny celebrant Hendrik Zietz conducting the ceremony. Malvina and Basti put so much love into every little details and everything looked amazing. They spent their special day with their very favourite people and that’s why it turned into a very special and intimate wedding.
The wedding took place at her parent’s house. When I arrived lots of people where still swirling around the house, including the groom, organizing a few last things for the ceremony and party. Everyone with slightly nervous but excited looks on their faces.
She spent her getting ready with her maid of honour and her sister in law, he with his best man. After I had captured captured those, the guys went, actually rather danced all the way to the altar.
Then Malvina and her dad had a couple of moments for one another. He was obviously super proud and moved to see his little girl like that.
The moment Basti saw his Malvina for the first time, he instantly teared up. It was so touching to witness and I’m sure I was not the only one getting watery eyes.
Hendrik Zietz welcomed all of the guests and held a funny and very personalized speech. Malvina, Basti and their loved ones constantly switched from being moved to roaring laughter.
At some point the best man got up, grapped a guitar and sang and played a wonderful song for the couple. This free ceremony was definitely one of the most touching ones I ever had the honour to capture.
The whole day was so full of love. I can barely describe how much it means to me that every single guest treated me as if I was one of the couple’s close friends.
