24 hours Austria. On a Saturday morning in September I flew to Salzburg to meet up with my dear friends for an after wedding shooting. They picked me up from the airport, we drove to the hotel and then made our way to the first location. At the Gollinger Wasserfall close to Salzburg we started with our after wedding shooting in Austria. At the beautiful waterfall they both wore the outfits for their civil wedding which they had in Mayrhofen in March of the same year. The scenrey was so so pretty and that was only the beginning.
From there we drove all the way to the magical Bluntauseen which are surrounded by mountains. The colours of the lake were so inspiring and they almost looked surreal. Nadja and Frederik brought their four legged honey Sully with them. He obviously enjoyed playing in the water and after he shook himself happily right next to our coats, the choice of cloths for the next round was drastically reduced.
After those beautiful lakes we made our way all the way up to the Rocheralm. Here we allowed ourselves to take a little break in the cutely decorated alm. With Kaiserschmarrn and Butterbrot we enjoyed the view onto the breathtaking mountain tops.
It felt really weird to had woken up in the hustle of a big city and to then be surrounded by mountains, cows and singing birds. Strengthened after the snacks we finished our after wedding shooting in Austria with shots in their wedding outfits. Her gorgeous dress by Seeweiss and him wearing his suit.
What a surreal and beautiful sight of these adorable people in this magical scenery.
Have you thought about doing an after wedding shooting yet? It’s such a great opportunity to re-feel the emotions of your wedding day. For a lot of couples it also is the perfect opportunity to do a longer couple shooting if for example that wasn’t given on their wedding day. Or simply to have pictures in a different landscape.
