Quickly Northern Ireland and back? Why not. A lot of you guys know how crazy I am about the landscapes of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Hence it was such a highlight for me, to have had a very windy couple shooting in Northern Ireland at Ballintoy Harbour.
After picking up the rental car at the airport in Belfast I directly drove to Ballintoy Harbour. In advance I did some location scouting online and found this spot. I thought it looked good so we could give it a try, I really wasn’t prepared for my breath to be taken away during the last meters down the curvy road to Ballintoy Harbour. Wow, it was so beautiful! Hence I jumped around a little inside my little car in a thrill of anticipation about soon being able to photograph two madly in love people at this spot.
Emma and Ben are simply adorable. She owns her own yoga studio and he works as an author. Together they lived in his home country, the US, and now their back in her home in Northern Ireland.
After having shot for a while at the harbour, we decided to grab a traditional black tea in a little stone hut by the coast to warm up again. We talked and talked and the time flew by.
The moment we could feel our feet and fingers again, we made our way to the incredibly beautiful ruin of Dunluce Castle. Places like these move me so much. The wind that blows into your face, the sea with its’ wonderful sounding waves.
And then also being able to photograph two people who are so much in love.
When dusk kicked in, we packed our stuff and drove to their home.
What a heart-warming afternoon full of amazing moments.
