Early, very early to be honest, we met on an April morning to do an engagement shooting in Potsdam. The two of them pick me up at around 5.30 am and then we drove to Babelsberg. Philip was still very quiet in the car, but Anjelina and I started to chat lively.
We started our engagement shooting in Potsdam, to be exact in Babelsberg, in a beautiful park. It was still quite chilly outside, but that was just another welcomed excuse for them to snuggle up even more.
Why that early? To have a specific atmosphere for the photos, having the perfect light is crucial. Around noon you’ll have very harsh lighting, creating big shadows in your faces. For an engagement session light this one, we wanted to create a soft look. The light right after dawn was so gentle and gave a little magical touch to the whole shooting.
We strolled along, took some pictures and talked about their upcoming big day in the summer of the following year. Both of them work as teachers and have totally found their calling with it. I love talking about discovering and carrying out one’s dream job. It’s a total fulfillment for me to have found my calling and to have the chance to grow in that field every day.
Towards the end we passed a forest with the car and we just had to turn around an go back to take some more pictures in that peaceful place.
You’d also love to capture that unique phase before the wedding in some pictures? More and more couples decide to have some photographs taken. For invitations, save-the-date-cards or simply for themselves.
Send me a message here and we can talk about some ideas for your engagement shooting.
